Yep, I got the title wrong, as pointed out in the other comments. We're still not sure if Sarah claiming lazy eye elsewhere makes it genuine though, given she's jumped on every other ailment bandwagon too. Possibly it was a problem in childhood and she's reluctant to let go. I suffered from chronic childhood asthma, but have since grown out of it.

Possibly that's it; in the same way tricky platform games give her PTSD. Problem is, the more you joke about serious disorders you don't have, the less seriously you'll be taken when being serious about genuine ones. It casts doubt on everything ever claimed.

If product placement, the PR people should have supplied a showcase game to make us drool over the new technology. Bit of a missed opportunity.

@@dreamkatcha Yeah they seemed to cover the online functionality more so than games - definitely a misplaced product for an older audience. They were treating it more like a home computer. Perhaps Microsoft PR over Sega PR.

In fairness, it's 5 minutes of a 60 min episode. And London's Burning was always about the interpersonal relationships between the firefighters.

Yep, this was the episode's contrasting light comic relief. The main event was a death-defying inferno in an embassy mansion caused by some idiot shooting through a locked door. For what seemed like an eternity, the head of security wouldn't let the firefighters in to tackle the blaze due to diplomatic bureaucracy. I always got more out of the personal drama, but recognise that the firey stuff is quite critical too given the theme of the show. :D

I did wonder afterwards if this could be a sting operation given that it's even more ridiculous than usual. Don't know really. Maybe she was just drunk and wouldn't even remember saying it. There's going to be an announcement tomorrow to let us know if the Fringe appearance is going ahead. It will be interesting to see how she handles the accommodation/travel funding situation if the event is swerved altogether.

I haven't seen many of the Kitten videos so missed that. Even so, something doesn't add up. If true surely she'd be harping on about it ad infinitum as with the depression, anxiety and so on, whereas I've only found this single instance in all the available blather Twitch streams. Is it possible one eye has a minor defect and she's translating that to complete blindness on one side for drama's sake?

I can't believe we've never had an eye patch or bionic eye replacement fundraiser. He'd love to champion that.

No probs. I probably wouldn't have found it either if I'd been looking. I stumbled across this storyline when rewatching the entire 14 series run. It was one of my faves as a kid so a pleasure to revisit the show all these years later. The whole family watched it together on a Sunday night - the last treat of the weekend before school/work trudgery re-commenced.

Maybe that ties in with the phobia/obsession with them Sarah seems to have developed. She's a professional word association management consultant. That's got to be a career.

I'm not sure what that means, but I'm curious. I've noticed that Dall-E blocks you from generating images whenever it flags very mild pejoratives as objectionable. It's not even consistent; you could keep the censored word, combine it with different words and it will get the green light. There's no logic to it.

@@dreamkatcha you're right in no logic, it can judge for appropriateness AFTER the image is made not by your prompt, you can use the same prompt over and over and it will randomly block some ans not others. This is on dall-e. Getimg let's you do whatever you want only checks the prompt

Oh I see now. So that explains some of the bizarre, irrelevant results. Not ideal at all - we're supposed to be telling the AI what we want, the AI's job being to deliver it. We don't need intervention and creative license. This is much like Google tweaking search results based on their own whims and financial incentives. As you say, the result will be that people will switch to services that don't filter prompts.

@@dreamkatcha well their argument is it's going off the existing database of real images on Google which is supposedly slanted, so they said on dall-e it's difficult to get a picture of a woman carrying a man on her shoulders cause google images only has it with roles reversed and the AI was trained by Google images

I think that's it. The ever-changing childhood years feel like the distant past because that's the cherished, long gone era we'll never return to. Anything after that is mundane, stagnant adulthood. If it all blends together 20-odd years ago still seems recent.

Good point. No one has to cogitate that deeply when simply telling the truth. It rolls off the tongue, no narrative-shaping required. The Unbound goal-shifting exercise is utterly bizarre. Whether they do or don't post her drivel, according to whatever schedule, doesn't change the fact that the book still isn't fit to print and that's down to the author. She's really shot herself in the foot with all this direct and indirect libel/slander. That's out there now so there will be no mistaking who she is talking about if that ultimately features in the book. With all the trauma and accusations forming the core, it wouldn't leave much if it had to be hacked out for legal reasons. It's interesting to note that this 'executive dysfunction' phrase has never been mentioned until now. She must have just hit upon it during her latest round of amateur dramatics research. Then all of a sudden it's trotted out three times in a row like a golden goose on borrowed time.

It's funny watching him on streams whenever he's joined by a guest. Often he has his thread of conversation and they have theirs without actually responding to each other because they're too self-absolved to give way and acknowledge that other people exist in the universe.

Gender dysphoria is typically identified when there is evidence of distress caused by the dissonance between gender assigned at birth and perceived gender. Someone who experiences gender dysphoria without it being a source of distress may not take any steps at all to change their appearance or behaviour so as to align with whichever gender feels most true to themselves. The question then becomes, if little or no distress is experienced, would you bother announcing to the world that you're actually the opposite of whatever your birth certificate says? Would it be more distressing to make a surgical or superficial transition than to live in a state that doesn't feel natural? I can't find a specific term that describes a biological woman who presents as female, yet calls themselves a man. Demiboy seems to be the closest. Maybe it all comes down to intentions once again. Who are you trying to convince, yourself or others? And why? So, in summary, obviously I'm lost too.

Yes, they're friends, at least online. Roses is based somewhere in the US so maybe they've never met in person. Agreed, something constructive and informative like that with intentions beyond making money would be very welcome. None of this makes any sense. Say her arm scars are genuine and Bio-Oil actually works, why choose to keep those whilst removing the leg scars? Why focus on an area that's usually covered up and continue slashing the arms?

@@dreamkatcha I have seen her (briefly before peepee(a lot shorter in real life) whisk her off)) at a convention and can say her arm scars are real. As you say, if this bio oil works then why not cover the arms first. I self harm(relapsed recently) and I keep myself covered if I am around people. As she said in the video you do get people who think it is done for attention (another good reason to keep it covered). Then she goes on to "accidentally" show blood on her arms. Or "accidentally" show some scars. I thought it was perfect at the end of the video when you did the ch-ching noise because that is the only logical reason anyone would stream something like that. Self harming can also be painful and non scarring. I am not going to go in details here but there are other options. Also I always promote anyone that self harm to take care of their wounds to stop infections. Isopropyl alcohol will help clean your wounds and it hurts like buggery if a person still wants to feel pain. I feel I have said way to much now. If she does read these comments, for god sake take care of your wounds and stop bloody monetising mental health 🤦

Sorry to hear that. I only wish there was an easy, one-size-fits-all solution. As with any of the other mental health issues discussed, it comes down to what a person is trying to achieve by 'showcasing' self-harm. Scars shouldn't be celebrated with pride since that sends the wrong message to vulnerable, easily influenced people, but nor should self-harmers be made to feel ashamed. Do that and you encourage covert self-harm, making it less likely that they'd seek/receive help. If drawing attention to the behaviour forms part of a goal to mould an image of someone who is so disturbed they are beyond self-help, that's what people will object to rather than the act itself. The middle ground is to keep evidence of self-harm concealed from strangers, yet discuss it with a qualified professional who might be able to help the client find an alternative, safe release. If Sarah didn't go out of her way to dramatize this, the public would be none the wiser.

@@dreamkatcha exactly. When you look at the video you would not see blood as it is not on the screen long enough, it wasn't until she mentioned it then you notice. Absolutely. I think self-harming is mostly done in private as it is a very personal thing. When I started it was the late 80s (I was a teen)and I only had boomers to turn to because I didnt understand why I felt this way. They were very dismissive, but things have changed a lot since then. Sarah is more likely to get help with it now. I also wish there was a fix for all it is a terrible way to be, and it is a terrible for partners and family to see their love ones suffering.
